Answering to the questions raised by her fellow parliamentarians at the India's Upper House of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Swaraj said that Madhes crisis should be ended through talks within Nepal.
"This crisis should be addressed through political consultations. We have helped to create a favorable environment for that," she added, "We had held talks with Nepal's foreign minister and Madhesi leaders."
She reiterated that India had not imposed blockade in Nepal. "There has been obstruction by Madhesi people," she added, "How can our trucks enter Nepal border?"

Senior leader of Indian National Congress Party and member of India's Upper House of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Dr Karan Singh has drawn a strong attention of the Indian government on humanitarian crisis in Nepal followed by short of supplies from India.
Singh said that India should not interfere on sovereign Nepal's internal affairs. "Nepal is just not only reeling under severe political crisis but also humanitarian crisis as winter approaches," Singh added, "There is shortage of LPG cylinders, schools and hospitals are closed."
He also expressed his concern on growing anti-Indian sentiments in Nepal.
India made an undiplomatic approach to Nepal by sending a special envoy when Nepal was on verge of promulgating the new constitution. "Sending a foreign secretary when Nepal was on verge of promulgating new constitution is an undiplomatic move," Singh added.
