KATHMANDU, Dec 6: Nepali Congress leader Pushpa Bhusal has made it clear that her party was fully prepared for the March 5 election to the House of Representatives, which the government is mandated to hold.

Leader Bhusal shared with the media that she, on behalf of her party, committed cooperation to the government on holding the March 5. "NC is fully ready to participate in the election that the government is mandated to hold on March 5, 2026. However, it is the government's responsibility to create an atmosphere conducive to the election," she added.

The NC Leader also reminded that the central committee meeting of the party had decided to participate in the election. "We have concluded that only the conduct of the HoR election will help protect achievements brought through the new constitution," she informed.

In the same meeting, Nepali Communist Party leader Prakash Jwala said, "It is the government's responsibility to hold the election. So, it must concentrate on holding and making the election successful. The peace and security situation must improve more for voting."
