MMC's relief to sports journalist

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: A division outfit Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) on Wednesday handed over cash reliefs to earthquake affected sports journalists at its office Swayambu, Kathmandu. MMC provide Rs 30,000 to the family of Suman Bhomjan, who died in April 25th earthquake, through Nepal Sports Journalist Forum.

MMC President Jimi Gurung Salim, General Secretary Karma Gurung and Manang Society President Sonam Gurung handed over the amount to Nepal Sports Journalists' Forum (NSJF) President Ajay Phuyal.Meanwhile, MMC also provided Rs 5,500 each to sports journalists affected by the quake. Phuyal, Govinda Regmi, Dhruba Tuladhar, Feroj Rajopadhyaya, Sonita Aryal, Rajesh Bhandari, Prajwal Shakya and Som Raj Pokharel received the amount as their homes were damaged by the earthquake. Karma Gurung, the general secretary of the Club, informed that MMC distributed financial and logistics support to the earthquake victims in Sindhuli, Dolkha, Gorkha, Dhading, Nuwakot, Kavre, Lamjung, Tanahu, Kaski and Rasuwa districts. The Club distributed cash and financial support of about Rs 37 million, he said.
