KATHMANDU, March 29: A 61-year-old man who had been missing for the past 15 days has been found dead in Makwanpur district.
The deceased has been identified as Kamisingh Thing of Raksirang Rural Municipality-5. According to police, his body was discovered on Saturday evening in a forested area under the Kalika Community Forest Users Group at Manahari-7.
Missing elderly man found dead after two and a half months
Police spokesperson at the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati, said the body was found in a decomposed state during a search operation.
Thing, who had reportedly been suffering from mental health issues for a long time, had gone missing from his home on March 13. His family had filed a missing person report with the police shortly after his disappearance.
Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
