KATHMANDU, March 29: The government has requested the offices concerned to close down various facilities run in the name of 'bridge course'.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology issued a notice on Sunday, reminding the educational institutions and other related agencies to stop preparation classes and bridge courses run in connection with the entrance or admission to the higher education programmes.
Municipalities without facilities
Such courses create negative impact on students' psychology and equitable access to education. It further causes educational burden to students, the Ministry said, requesting the institutions running such facilities to fully shutdown such programmes effective from Baisakh 1, 2083BS.
The press statement released by Joint Secretary and Spokesperson at Ministry, Shiva Kumar Sapkota, warned that if any institution goes against this request, it would face legal action. Even the District Administration Offices have been reminded to forward actions to those violating this notice.
