Govt initiates investigation on individuals missing after Spain visit

Speaking to reporters at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, Gurung said that some people had traveled to the UN conference in Spain outside the official delegation and failed to return. He said that the incident is under investigation.

KATHMANDU, July 16: Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, who also serves as the government spokesperson, said the government is investigating individuals who did not return after a recent visit to Spain.



Speaking to reporters at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, Gurung said that some people had traveled to the UN conference in Spain outside the official delegation and failed to return. He said that the incident is under investigation.

He dismissed claims that the Prime Minister left behind any members of the delegation as "entirely false" and reiterated that accusations about non-returnees accompanying the Prime Minister were baseless.


Gurung further clarified that, according to the official code of conduct, the Prime Minister is not allowed to take more than 21 people on a foreign visit, except for the President and Vice President
