Forex: USD rate declines slightly

KATHMANDU, March 18: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the rate for the US dollar has decreased slightly. According to the bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 138.59, while the selling rate stands at Rs 139.19. On Monday, the buying rate was Rs 138.90 and the selling rate was 139.50.

The exchange rate for one euro is Rs 151.12 for buying and Rs 151.66 for selling. Similarly, the buying rate for one UK pound sterling is Rs 179.78, and the selling rate is Rs 180.56. The Swiss franc is set at Rs 157.02 for buying and Rs 157.70 for selling.

The buying rate for one Australian dollar is Rs 88.00, with a selling rate of Rs 88.39. The Canadian dollar is valued at Rs 96.58 for buying and Rs 97.00 for selling. Meanwhile, the Singapore dollar is priced at Rs 104.06 for buying and Rs 104.51 for selling.

For Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.33, while the selling rate is Rs 9.37. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 19.16 for buying and Rs 19.24 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is priced at Rs 36.95 for buying and Rs 37.11 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 38.02 for buying and Rs 38.19 for selling.

The exchange rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.13 for buying and Rs 4.14 for selling. The UAE dirham is valued at Rs 37.74 for buying and Rs 37.90 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 31.18 for buying and Rs 31.31 for selling. The South Korean won (per 100 units) is set at Rs 9.57 for buying and Rs 9.61 for selling. The Swedish krona has a buying rate of Rs 13.70 and a selling rate of Rs 13.76, while the Danish krone is priced at Rs 20.26 for buying and Rs 20.34 for selling.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the Hong Kong dollar is set at Rs 17.84 for buying and Rs 17.91 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 450.10 for buying and Rs 452.05 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar is valued at Rs 367.84 for buying and Rs 369.23 for selling. The Omani riyal has a buying rate of Rs 359.97 and a selling rate of Rs 361.53. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates are subject to revision as needed. It also noted that commercial banks may offer different exchange rates, and the updated rates can be accessed on the central bank's website.
