BAGLUNG, Nov 11: Five people were killed and one was injured in a pickup van accident in Jaimini Municipality of Baglung on Monday morning.
The District Police Office Baglung said the pickup van (Ga 2 Cha 9247) en route to Baglung from Chisti, Jaimini Municipality-8, met with an accident in the border area of Jaidi and Chisti.
According to the District Police Office, five of the six people on board the vehicle died on the spot, while one was rescued and brought to Dhaulagiri Hospital for treatment.
A police team has also been dispatched from the District Police Office, Baglung, to the accident spot. According to police, the deceased have been identified as the jeep driver Mahendra Pun, 38, of Jaimini-8, Baglung; Rashmi Shreesh, 20, of Jaimini-8; Nanda Kali Pun, 40; Niraj Shreesh, 17; and Kul Prasad Shreesh, 75.
Police said that the injured Ganga Bahadur Shreesh, 45, has been taken to Dhaulagiri Hospital for treatment. He has sustained severe injuries.
