First Nepali language class in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, USA, Sept 28: Nepali language class has been started in Baltimore for the first time by the community organization of the Nepalese in Baltimore, Baltimore Association of Nepalese in America (BANA).



The class was started formally on Sunday at the local Rosedale Public Library.



BANA Chairperson Rabina Thapa called on parents to enroll their children in the class.



Yogi Atmananda Giri who is on a visit to USA at present shed light on Nepali language and culture and its importance and called on parents to encourage children to speak Nepali.



He inaugurated the class by reciting Vedic hymns.



BANA General Secretary Gautam Dahal in a press communiqué states that Sub-Committee Convenor Dr. Shyam Karki informed about the conduction of the class.
