KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has filed a habeas corpus petition. Claiming unlawful detention, he filed the petition through his legal representative at the apex court on Friday.
SC Spokesperson Achyut Koirala said that the hearing for the petition has been scheduled for Sunday.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) in Lazimpat arrested Prasai on November 19 and is investigating him under the Electronic Transactions Act. Police have also begun an investigation against him for charges related to document forgery.
