Similarly, Echo Advertising Agency won awards in two categories, while Business Advantage, Outreach Nepal, Sanjivani Media Services, Ad Point Nepal, Media Hub, Applied Value, Max L´agence and Mice Ad Nepal won one each.
Advertising Association of Nepal (AAN) conferred awards to the best brains and products in the industry in 22 different categories amid a colorful function attended by distinguished personalities of the society.
Welcome Advertising own the Most Popular TVC Award for its TVC for Jagadamba Steel with 1,458 votes. The Most Popular TVC had 10 nominees, while all other categories had 5 nominees. The new category -- Best Creative Youth Award given to youths below 30 years of age - was jointly conferred to Rishikesh Dhakal and Suraj Giri.
Addressing the award ceremony, AAN President Nirmal Raj Poudel said advertising agencies are contributing to the field of media and helping the media industry to flourish despite political instability in the country.
“By embracing ´Localizing Ideas Incredibly´ as the theme for Crity Awards, we are working to encourage local ads,” he added. He also said the Crity Awards has been helping in overall development of media industry and by bring Nepali products and consumers closer.
AAN has received 424 entries from 35 agencies for this year´s award. Among the agencies, Prisma Advertising had sent the highest number of entries, followed by Welcome Advertising and Max L´agence respectively.
To make the award ceremony more interesting, AAN also honored five persons wearing Daura Suruwal. Kedar Sharma, Suman Subedi, Birendra Hamal and Rabin Adhikari were honored in the best combination and fitting category, while GP Timilsina won the Unique Design Award.
A five-member judging committee led by movie expert Yadav Kharel and comprising Dr Bhojraj Aryal, Babita Basnet, Durga Nath Sharma and Pradip Upadhyaya had selected the winning entries.
