CC extends Draft Sub-Committee's term

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: The Constitutional Committee on Wednesday extended the term of its Draft Sub-Committee by five more days.



A meeting of the committee extended the term of the 11-member sub-committee formed to prepare the first draft of new constitution by incorporating suggestions on the reports prepared by 11 thematic committees in the Constituent Assembly.



The sub-committee has prepared a draft with a provision of 27 parts, according to Barsha Man Pun, a member of the sub-committee.



He said they have almost completed work on preparing the preliminary draft of the constitution.



Among others, the sub-committee has proposed 17 constitutional commissions in the new constitution.



The CC meeting on Wednesday also discussed in detail about the subject matters and difficulties faced while preparing the draft of new constitution.
