CAVA U-20 Volleyball: Nepal defeated, Uzbekistan wins title

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: Nepal was defeated in the CAVA U-20 Men's Volleyball Championship. In the final match held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Saturday, Nepal lost to Uzbekistan.

In the final, Nepal was defeated by Uzbekistan 3-1 in sets, finishing as the runner-up.

Nepal secured an impressive 27-25 victory in the first set but went on to lose the next three sets consecutively.

In the second set, Nepal lost 25-10, followed by a 25-16 loss in the third set, and in the fourth set, Nepal was defeated 25-20.

In the final match of the group stage on Friday, Nepal defeated Turkmenistan.

During the group stage, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan, and the Maldives, but suffered losses against Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation includes participants such as the host nation, Turkmenistan, the Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Nepal.
