NSMB, a Category ´C´ financial institution, has total paid-up capital of Rs 300 million with its 30 percent shares issued to the public. NB Group holds 51 percent promoter shares in the bank.
Rubi Joshi, CEO of NSMB, said the bank has earned a profit of Rs 260 million till mid-June. Nepal Stock Exchange has closed the transactions of NSMB shares from Monday.
WWF to help implement land-use policy
KATHMANDU, Aug 2: The Ministry of Land Reforms and Management (MoLRM) and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Monday signed an agreement to formulate and implement the proposed land-use policy.
Madhav Prasad Regmi, joint secretary at MoLRM, and Anil Manandhar, country director of WWF, signed the five-year agreement.
A press statement issued by the MoLRM says WWF would provide technical and other form of supports to the MoLRM and enhance skills of the employees involved in formulating the policy.
Finance secy bereaved
KATHMANDU, Aug 2: Prakash Chandra Upadhyaya Khanal, the father of Finance Secretary Rameshwar Prasad Khanal, passed away on Monday.
He was 79 and had long been suffering from heart ailments. His last rites were carried out on Monday itself.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters.
