The party´s district chairperson, Siddhanta Rai informed this following a meeting at the district party office. “The party´s regional as well as district committee offices have proposed that Rai should be fielded in these constituencies as he hails from the district,” Siddhanta Rai added. [break]
In the previous CA election, Rai was nominated from electoral constituency 2 of Khotang. Rai can be also be proposed from Sunsari, Morang, Kapilbastu, Jhapa, Kathmandu and other areas as well, he further said.
But the district committee is requesting him to fight CA election only from Udayapur. The names of candidates for all the three electoral constituencies of the district, under both FPTP and PR systems, have also been proposed.
The party´s district committee has proposed a total of 36 names for the upcoming election. Besides party chairperson Rai, secretary Pradip Kumar Chaudhary and finance department chief Kishore Tamrakar have also been proposed under FPTP for constituency 1.
Sushila Shrestha, Siddhant Rai and Ghanasyam Katuwal have also been proposed from electoral constituency 2. Thusung Ghising, Sarmila Thamang, Phumaya Pariyar, Chet Bahadur Magar, Karun Rai and Madav Rai have been proposed for PR seats from constituency 2.
