4.2-magnitude aftershock after 12 days

KATHMANDU, Nov 13: After a hiatus of 12 days when Nepali people were slowly recovering from the woes caused by the Gorkha earthquake, an aftershock recurred at 3:45 pm on Thursday.

According to National Seismological Center, Lainchaur, a 4.2-magnitude tremor was felt yesterday with Sindhupalchowk epicenter.


Earlier, a 4.3-magnitude quake had hit the central region of Nepal with Rasuwa epicenter on October 31.

As many as 405 aftershocks have occurred following the devastating earth quake that rocked Nepal on April 25.
