150 turn critical after consuming poisonous food

GAUSHALA, May 22: As many as 150 locals turned critical after consuming Prasad (auspicious food) at a religious function in Bhramarpur VDC of Mahottari district last night.

According to the Mahottari District Police Office, local people grew illness after they consumed Prasad made in the Satyanarayan Puja (worship to Lord Bishnu) performed by Gopal Sharma of Bhramarpura VDC-5.


Worship performer Sharma along with local people including children saw food poison and turned critically ill after four hours of the consumption of Prasad, said Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) Lokendra Shrestha.

Those critical have gone through the symptoms of diarrhea, stomach paining, vomiting, fever and nausea. RSS
