Driving, the most sensitive job on the road, seems to be becoming reckless job in recent times. Last week, a truck driver crushed a student in Nepalgunj inviting widespread protests from the students and the locals. According to the locals, the student who lost both of her legs in that incident, was actually pushed to that stage when the truck driver rolled back the truck over her when he noticed that she was only injured. Locals suspect that the truck driver actually intended to kill her.

The results of by-elections held for 52 vacant positions on Saturday have been out. The poll results do not show major change in the strength of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) than the mandate they had secured in the 2017 elections. But it has sent a significant message to all the parties who contested in these elections.
