CIAA to file corruption case against Bikal Paudel

KATHMANDU, April 21: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) is going to file a corruption case against the suspended executive director of Security Printing Center, Bikal Paudel. A case is going to be filed against him on the charge of taking public office by lying about his position.  

Paudel is accused of becoming the executive director of Nepal's Security Printing Center after taking a permanent residency (PR) permit in the US. "It has been decided to file a corruption case against Bikal Paudel at the Special Court today," a CIAA source said.

A corruption case filed against him earlier on the charges of irregularities at Security Printing Center is pending at the Special Court. The CIAA is investigating Paudel, who was arrested on the charges of illegal wealth acquisition.
