Saroj Guragain appointed as new Chief Administrative Officer of KMC

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: Saroj Guragain has been appointed as the new Chief Administrative Officer of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC). He took office on Monday.

Previously, Guragain was the head of the "Prosperity Project" under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies. The Cabinet meeting held on September 12 decided to transfer Guragain to KMC.

The outgoing Chief Administrative Officer Pradeep Pariyar has been transferred to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

Upon taking office, Chief Administrative Officer Guragain emphasized the need to work in a way that maintains the current pride and prestige of Kathmandu. He stated that effective leadership policies and skilled administrative and managerial practices would elevate the city further.
