Party registration for local level by-elections starts tomorrow

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: The Election Commission (EC) has called for party registration for the local level by-elections.

The EC issued a notice on wednesday, stating that political parties can register from tomorrow to participate in the local level by-elections scheduled for December 1, 2024.

The EC has instructed the registered political parties to submit their applications for party registration at the election commission office in accordance with Schedule 12 of the Political Party Regulations, 2017, from September 26 to October 2 during office hours, as per Article 217 of the Constitution of Nepal and Section 4 of the Political Party Act, 2017.
