Two members of Nepal Teachers Association, Lamjung, Meghnath Dawadi, Basudev Ghimire and Nepali Congress (NC) Shreemjayang Village Working Committee President Harishchandra Pandit were attacked by the YCL cadres.
Those thrashed by YCL are currently undergoing treatment at Besisahar, district headquarters of Lamjung.
YCL cadres had attacked them while on the way from Shreemjayang to Besisahar.
Dawadi, a teacher at Pachowk Secondary School, and Ghimire, a teacher at Mandali Primary School, have been asked to pay one month´s salary as donations by the Maoists.
However, the YCL district in-charge Ram Chandra Paudel denied their involvement in the attack. "Allegations against us are baseless," he said. Paudel also said that their party has no policy of collecting donations at present.
