Ramji Paudel, 24, of Haldekali VDC-2 of Nuwakot was critically injured in the attack.
Paudel is being treated at Kathmandu Model Hospital after primary treatment in Nuwakot District Hospital, Trishuli.
Paudel has received eight stitches in his head.
Paudel said a gang wielding khukuris and rods and led by Jeevan Lama, a teacher of the school and also a YCL cadre, attacked him.
