KATHMANDU, Aug. 3: CPN-UML´s youth wing, Youth Association Nepal (YAN) enforced a chakkajaam at New Baneswor this afternoon for 30 minutes, demanding resignation of the incumbent government.

The YAN representatives on the occasion called announcement of date for fresh election based on a consensus and provision of franchise right to youth aged 16 and above.

The youth activists holding banners and placards reading ´form consensus-based national government´, ´safeguard nationality and social harmony´ and ´institutionalize outcomes of People´s Movement´ chanted different slogans against the government.

Vehicular movement was completely halted in the area for half-an-hour due to Chakkajaam or transport strike.
