World's endangered bird species found in Sauraha

RATNANAGAR, Chitwan, April 10: A new bird which is considered the world's endangered species has been detected in Sauraha of Chitwan.

The new bird namely Kasmir Fly Catcher has been found in Sauraha, informed Bird Education Society Chitwan.


A team of bird experts which is on a weeklong field for counting nests of different bird species found the rare bird species at a hotel garden.

The finding of the endangered bird species was made public after a research carried out by society representatives on the new-found species.

The bird was once found in Thori area some 15 years back and was never spotted since then.

Out of total 875 species of birds available in Nepal, Chitwan alone has 626 and Chitwan National Park has 576. RSS
