Organized by Quixote’s Cove, a bookshop at Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur, the event is a continuation to their Word Mill or poetry performances.

Slam poets from Word Warriors, which also include the talented band members from Lyrics Inthependense, will be reciting Dylan along with Bobin Bajracharya, Dinesh Rai and Sanyog Shahi who will be singing some of Dylan’s songs.

The program will also pay tribute to the folk tradition that inspired Dylan with a few local folk songs by Dumbar Gandarva and his daughter Laxmi Gandarva, two of the many sarangi players who were a part of Music On The Move in Yala Maya Kendra. Besides, singer Lochan Rijal will also be performing two original folk songs.

At a time, when the country is riding high on political strife again, the event will celebrate not just Dylan’s poetic genius but his musical and lyrical activism as well.

The performances start at 7 pm at Jatra Café, Thamel.

Tickets priced at Rs 100 will be available at the venue. The money raised will go for Word Warriors’ video fund.
