WHO Director General arriving in Nepal today

KATHMANDU, April 21: Director General of World Health Organization (WHO) Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is arriving in Nepal on Thursday.

Tedros is coming to Nepal at the invitation of Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada. He is scheduled to land at 12:15 PM today. 

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Tedros will be accompanied by WHO Regional Director of South East Asia Regional Office Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh and other WHO officials during his three-day visit. He is scheduled to return home on April 23. 

Dr Tedros will call on President  Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister  Sher Bahadur Deuba, and  Chairperson of National Assembly Ganesh Prashad Timilsina. The visiting Director General will also meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Narayan Khadka and Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada.
