“We have accommodated two patients on a single bed,” said hospital staff Raghunath Adhikari. Half of the patients who have contracted viral fever are children.
Nawaraj Subba, chief of District Public Health Office (DPHO) Morang said teams of health workers have left for areas affected by viral fever.
“Public awareness campaign is being conducted to protect people from viral fever,” Subba added.

Two weeks ago, over 300 inmates of Biratnagar prison had contracted viral fever. It took a week to cure them.
Health workers have observed that though viral fever could be cured within 24 hours in the past, this year it is taking three to four days.
