Police said the Kirant activists torched the office leaving all documents burnt. The party owned up to the incident. During the arson, they also detonated a small bomb.
The incident took place at a time when the VDC secretaries have taken to the street against donation drive launched by the party.
The party had asked all 49 VDCs demanding Rs 300,000 from each VDC or face consequences.
Following the party´s diktat, the VDC secretaries have gathered in the district headquarters.
