US Collaboration for good health in Gorkha

The Pacific Angel (PACANGEL) 17-4 collaborated with approximately 55 US personnel, including active duty, National Guard, and reserve members, from the US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, and US Marine Corps, with their Nepal Army counterparts to organize a health camp from August 13 to August 20 in Gorkha.

The Pacific Angel (PACANGEL) 17-4 collaborated with approximately 55 US personnel, including active duty, National Guard, and reserve members, from the US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, and US Marine Corps, with their Nepal Army counterparts to organize a health camp from August 13 to August 20 in Gorkha.



PACANGEL is a multi-lateral humanitarian assistance civil military engagement, which improves military-to-military partnerships in the Pacific while also providing medical health outreach, civil engineering projects and subject matter exchanges among partner forces.

A temporary health services outreach site was constructed that provided individual clinics for health care. Family health, pediatrics, dermatology, optometry, dental, physical therapy and pharmacy services were provided during the camp.


Moreover, US civil engineers also worked closely with their Nepali counterparts, who renovated and repaired five structures at different quake-hit areas in Gorkha.
