Upendra Yadav calls for unity between Madhesis, Janajatis

SIRAHA, Sept. 14: Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Nepal) Upendra Yadav has accused the Election Commission of attempting to deprive the Madhesis from their right to vote by introducing the biometric voters´ name list.



At a program on Saturday, Yadav said that Madhesis and Janajatis should jointly fight against inequality, discrimination and suppression. [break]



He was of the view that people would not be empowered until a constitution was written from the Constituent Assembly (CA).



Saying that a country has rarely got two chances for holding the CA election in its history, Yadav urged the voters to use their conscience in the upcoming CA election.



On the occasion, industrialist Dr Birendra Mahato, Rastriya Prajatantra Party´s Baidhyanath Prasad Sah, former regional administrator Lalit Bahadur Thapa Magar, journalist Kumar Bista joined the Yadav-led Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal.



Likewise, Yadav welcomed members of Nepali Congress Siraha District Committee Members Bijaya Marbaita, Satya Narayan Sah, UCPN (Maoist) leaders Shambhu Byar, Ritu Mahara and others in the party.
