Talking to myrepublica.com, UML Standing Committee member Ishwar Pokharel, who heads the taskforce, said his panel will submit "concrete proposals" during Wednesday´s meeting of the UML Central Committee.
"The UML Central Committee has taken seriously the Maoist´s reluctance to implement past understandings," said Pokharel. "This may put the peace process, writing of the new constitution and the current political equation at serious risk."
Therefore, said Pokharel, UML is going to submit a list of grievances to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on the basis of the recommendations of the taskforce.
The Central Committee is going to discuss the proposals of Pokharel-led panel, which has Surendra Pandey, Raghu Pant, Bhim Rawal, Shankar Pokhrel and Urmila Aryal as members, on Wednesday and submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister later on the day.
During Tuesday´s meeting, senior UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said his party can´t trust even the prime minister. He accused the PM of being "yes man" during discussions and meetings and not translating anything into action.
The meeting that started on Monday is likely to be over on Wednesday and the Central Committee is going to meet on January 6, 2009.
