UML shuts down Rasuwa

RASUWA, April 13: The CPN (UML) has imposed an indefinite shutdown in Rasuwa district in protest against the beating of CPN (UML) cadres.

Cadres of the Unified CPN (Maoist) severely beat two CPN (UML) cadres on March 13 by taking them to a desolate place in the pretext of holding talks.[break]

The CPN (UML) Rasuwa district unit, in a press release, called for organizing the indefinite Rasuwa banda from today protesting against the beating and demanding stern action against the culprits.

Vehicles operating on long and short distance routes from Rasuwa have stayed off the road. Similarly, the industries, factories and market in the district are closed since the morning Tuesday.
