UML has 138,000 organized members

KATHMANDU, Feb 11: The number of organized members of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) has crossed 138,000 nationwide, the party said Wednesday.



Organization Department chief of the party and coordinator of the Representatives Management Sub-Committee Amrit Bohara informed this at the party’s Central Committee meeting Wednesday.



According to Yubaraj Gyawali, secretary at the party’s Central Secretariat, the number of elected representatives for the eighth general convention is likely to reach around 1,640. The Central Committee is scheduled meet again Friday.
