According to former UML General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, UML leaders, in a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and other top Maoist leaders, said that any decision taken without consulting other coalition partners would not be acceptable to them, Nepal FM reported.
The UML expressed its objection to the introduction of ordinances by the Maoists without informing other parties. The Maoist-led government last Wednesday decided to introduce three ordinances. The decision was widely criticized. The government is reportedly preparing to introduce more ordinances.
Emerging from the meeting with the Maoists, Nepal said that they also expressed their reservations over the way the government has transferred government employees in violation of existing rules and regulations, the FM reported.
They charged the Maoists of violating past agreements and taking unilateral decisions. UML leaders suggested the Maoist leadership to continue the culture of cooperation and understanding.
