UDMF urges BFIs to waive loans, interest

BIRGUNJ, Jan 20: United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) on Wednesday issued a circulation to the banks and financial institutes (BFIs) in Parsa district to waive bank loan taken during the unrest period.

UDMF has decided to this effect after appeals by the debtors in the protest-hit Tarai region, chairman of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Parsa Chapter, Pradip Yadav told Republica.


UDMF has urged the BFIs to waive the loan and interest accrued during the movement period saying that the Tarai unrest has been prolonged due to irresponsibility and negligence on the part of the government.
