TU defeated Patan Campus by 64 runs in the first match. Batting first TU garnered 154\4 in the match shortened to 17 overs and bowled Patan Campus out for 90 runs in 13 overs. Man-of-the-match Anil Adhikari of TU hauled six wickets in his three-over spell conceding 11 runs to shape their victory. [break]
Dhan Bahadur Chhetri (49), Sagar Adhikari (38) and Pabindra Rajbhandari (unbeaten 15) contributed for the winning side. Kamal Chand claimed three wickets of TU.
In another match Basanta Regmi and Shakti Bhandari each struck a half century as Classic defeated Jubilant College by 52 runs. Electing to bat first, Classic made 155/5 in 20 overs as man-of-the-match declared Bhandari hit 51 off 32 and pocketed four wickets. Regmi hammered 53 off 46. Kabindra Shrestha of Jubilant claimed two wickets.
In reply, Jubilant were restricted to 103/10 in 18.3 overs. Thupten Lama (23), Sudhir Maharjan (19) and Rochak Bhatta (13) scored for Jubilant. Regmi and Santosh Bhatta claimed three wickets each for the winning side.
The tournament is being organized by TU, Kirtipur.
