The strike is called for five days. "We have a meeting at the Bharatpur Municipality office on Thursday," Krishna Kumar Shrestha, the assistant General Secretary of Nepal National Transport Entrepreneurs Federation (NNTEF) said. "If we reach an agreement we will withdraw the protest."
The entrepreneurs have asked the municipality to withdraw the tender notice it has issued to lease out the operation of the terminal to private sector.
"Municipality can partner us to operate the terminal and the amount they have quoted in tender notice can be easily collected," Khadga Bahadur Gurung, district co-ordinator of NNTEF, said.
