BANEPA, Nov 21: A student was killed after being run over by a tipper truck at Janagal along the Araniko Highway on Saturday afternoon.
Bijaya Kunwar, a 12th grader at Intensive International Academy in Teku, who was a resident of Balaju, was killed after the motorcycle (Ba 36 Pa 7439) was hit by the truck (Ba 3 Kha 9805).
After the accident, the truck driver put the vehicle on reverse gear and ran the vehicle over Kunwar, eyewitnesses said. Police have seized the tipper and its driver Bishal Damai.
Locals obstructed the Araniko Highway after the incident.
