KATHMANDU, March 7: It is likely that the Tribhvan International Airport will not open until 6 pm Saturday.
According to an official at Civil Avian Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the TIA will not resume its serves until 6 pm today owing to the failure to tow away the Turkish Airlines airbus to the parking area.

Police adjustment hits snag as bills remain stalled in absence...
The truck which was used to pull along the crash-landed airbus from the crash site to the parking lot got its rear part lopsided while towing away the airbus.

The CAAN official said the technicians are persistently working at it and if the work moves on as expected, the airbus will be moved to the parking area and the TIA will start operating after 6 pm.

The TIA has been closed since Wednesday morning following the crashing-landing of the Turkish Airlines airbus. With 227 people including the three crew members on-board, the airbus had skidded off the runway of the TIA after its nose wheel fell apart.
