Three killed, 11 injured in Siraha road accident

SIRHAHA, July 15: Three people died and eleven others were injured in a road accident this morning. A tractor heading to Mahottari Padaulasthan from Siraha Kachnari overturned on the East-West highway at Karjanha-8 in Siraha district at around 4:00 this morning.



The deceased are Mukesh Yadav, 35, and Ram Satidevi of of Itatatar VDC, and Gulab Devi Yadav of Jighaulai-3, said Area Police Office, Mirchaiya.



The injured are being treated in a local Phulkumari Mahato Memorial Hospital. The injured are said to be out of danger. The tractor was carrying 35 pilgrims towards Padaulasthan. The tractor driver is absconding after the mishap. The accident might have occurred due to over speed, said police.



11 injured in Kaski road accident



POKHARA, July 15: Eleven people were injured in a road accident at Ghimirethok, Rupakot VDC-8, in the district on Sunday.



The bus (Ga 1 Kha 1537) heading to Pokhara from Thumki VDC met with an accident due to brake failure, said police. [break]



The injured are being treated at the Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara. Among the injured, five are said to be in critical condition, said the hospital.



The locals and police had jointly rescued the injured and rushed them to the hospital.
