ARGHAKHANCHI, April 1: Three children have drowned in a river in Pali VDC of Arghakhanchi.
Police said the deceased included two sisters of a single family.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as two daughters – Meena Khanal (14) and Bishnu Khanal (12) -- of Narayan Khanal of Balkot VDC-4 and 14-year-old Kavita Pande, the daughter of Dasiram Pande of the same village.
The three drowned when they were taking a bathe in Byangdi River.
Meanwhile, a person has died after falling off a cliff in Naram VDC of Nawalparasi district.
Locals said Kul Bahadur BK (38) of Naram VDC-8 died after falling off the cliff on Wednesday evening.
He was returning from the field after transplanting rice, according to Nara Bahadur BK, a local.
Police said they were informed about the incident only today due to the lack of communication facility in the village.
