The deceased is 12-year-old Deu Narayan Chaudhary, son of Laxman Chaudhary, of Bangaun in Deukhuri’s Chailahi VDC-3, said Area Police Office Lamahi.
Meanwhile, a woman died after being swept away by the Madi River in Pyuthan.
The deceased is 45-year-old Ruma Kumari Roka of Tapa in Belbas VDC, said District Police Office Pyuthan. Roka was swept away by the river while she was going to Bhingri Bazaar, police said.
Likewise, a person died and another was injured in a motorcycle accident in Kailali district on Saturday morning.
Laxman Gurung, 35, of Rajipur in Chaumala-7, died on the spot when the motorcycle (Ma 1 Kha 2685) heading to Attariya from Rajipur met with an accident in Mangalpur of Chaumala, police said.
Injured pillion rider Man Bahadur Sunar, 40, is undergoing treatment at Padma Hospital in Attariya.
The accident is said to have occurred because of overspeeding.
