UDAYAPUR, Aug 8: The whereabouts of Dani Prasad Chaudhary, who is said to have been displaced from his village after receiving threats from the underground armed outfit called Samyukta Jatiya Mukti Morcha a month ago, are still unknown.

Chaudhary´s family members said that he is still hiding in some unknown location with his wife Tara. [break]

Chaudhary, a district committee member of the UCPN (Maoist), left his village Motiga in Triyuga, the district headquarters, after finding himself insecure.

"My parents say that they are in the Tarai at some relatives house, but we do not know where," Chaudhary´s son Satish said.

Chaudhary had said that the Morcha´s district in-charge ´Sangam´ had called him from mobile numbers 9745046785 and 9721473743 and gave threats to his life. Speaking to myrepublica.com from the unknown destination, he requested all concerned to create environment for his return to the village.

"I request all journalists and rights workers to create suitable environment for me to return to the village," he said.

He said he continues to get death threats even after fleeing the village.

The Morcha has accused Chaudhary of forcefully capturing land from landless squatters at Trinapa-2, Hattimara and selling it.
