Pale eyes gaze at the dim light

heavy tired breath, exhaling those long                                                                                      Years lived chasing the green light

Some fair some unfair struggles

crawling their way, through the blank gaze

The starting of the race line

seeming a little too yesterday

Thought all would go fair when the whistle blew

"Ready get set go" eyes captured the bright light

Where did the rules get a bit hazy

the green light dim, the path a little dizzy

Far beyond the hills sun sparkles its shine

Every walk since then has been a little too timed

Strangers pushing and pulling a long chased hope

passing time in this always unfamiliar world

Reckless or routined days, every bright eye

through years becomes a little too timid and shy

Every eye that chased the "Green Light"

gets buried becoming a martyr of death in the fight......
