Thames cricket begins Friday

KATHMANDU, May 2: Thames International College and student council of the college is organizing Thames Inter-college Cricket 2013 from Friday at the Sainik Awashiya Mahavidyalaya, Bhaktapur from Friday.



Organizing a press conference at the college premises Old Baneshwar on Thursday, tournament coordinator Siddhartha Marasini said that the event will feature 16 teams in total under knockout format. The participating teams are divided into two groups. [break]



Two matches will be held each day under knockout format in the nine day long event other than the in final day. Host Thames will take on CAB during the inaugural match while Universal will lock horns against Public Youth in the day´s second match. Thames is the defending champion.



The other participating teams are Everest, KIST, Campion, DAV, Kathford, K & K , Mahendra Morang, Prime, KCMIT, Shankar Dev, KMC, NCC.
