Teacher arrested for scalding students with hot spatula in Tanahun

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: A teacher has been arrested for scalding a student’s face with a hot spatula under the pretext of making noise.

Sushma Shrestha, a teacher and accountant at Prabhat English Boarding Secondary School in Shantinagar, Bhimad Municipality-6, Tanahun, allegedly scalded three students of grade four with hot spatula on Tuesday for making noise.

Police arrested Shrestha on Wednesday and charged with crimes against children. The District Court, Tanahun, has granted permission to keep her in custody for five days for investigation.

Police have said that the identities of the children have been kept confidential.
