Police confiscated a home-made pistol and its bullets, a socket bomb, four detonators and a letter pad, receipts and pamphlets printed in the name of the party from the detainee, according to Superintendent of Police Rajendra Man Shrestha at the Parsa District Police Office.
Police claimed that Kalwar involved in extortion spree for the past two years has his hands behind the bomb explosion at Ghantaghar-based tempo stand, a tractor showroom and Jagadmab Sales Traders. Before his entry to the party, Kalwar was involved in goods smuggling, police said.
Meanwhile, police have nabbed three persons on the charge of their association with different criminal gangs.
The arrested are Jitendra Giri (24) alias Rajkumar of Mirjapur-5, Kanhaiya Saha (18) from India and currently living at Nagwa of Birgunj Municipality-19, and Bira Sahani (45) Dohari-6, Bara, said the police.
