Swine flu suspected in Bardiya youth

BANKE, July 5: A 23-year-old youth, who returned here from Qatar four days ago, has been admitted to a hospital here after he was suspected to be suffering from swine flu.



Bhim Bahadur Chaudhary of Nayagau-8, Bardiya, has been taken to Nepalgunj-based Bheri Zonal Hospital in the district with suspected swine flu symptoms.



Police took Chaudhary, who was at large from Tribhuvan International Airport, under control and admitted to the hospital. He is kept in isolation and under observation.



However, blood test reports are awaited and a case of swine flu is yet to be confirmed, said Dr. Shyam Sundar Yadav, chief of the zonal hospital.



Till now no case of H1N1 virus has been detected in this area.
