BHIMDATTANAGAR, Aug 12: Ten people of the CPN-Maoist affiliated All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) who were taken under control by the Seema Suraksha Bal, the Indian border security force, during their march to Lipulek pass, were released on Tuesday night.

The people were marching towards the Lipulek pass, a Nepali territory close to the border with India and China, as part of their campaign to spread awareness that Lipulek belongs to Nepal. India and China are planning to build a trade passage through the pass without consulting Nepal.

They were released in the presence of the representative from the District Administration Office in Darchula district.

Meanwhile, a team led by Ratna Dhakal, central chairman of the ANNISU-R has set off to the Lipulek as part of their campaign to spread a message that the area belongs to Nepal.

Organising a press conference in Darchula's district headquarters, Khalanga, on Wednesday morning, the team informed that they will hoist the national flag in the area as part of their campaign. RSS
